I don,t care what the reason is no dog deserves that as "correction" for any reason. The handler should be tied down lifted by the neck and get the same "correction" technique him self.

My eyes are tearing up, that is so f'ing sad, he killed a dog by kicking it to death-- not only the K-9 handler should be punished, but what about the trainer?? What about the person who is supposed to teach these handlers HOW to handle a dog and what "correction" is? What responsibility do they have here!

PS the article called it a German Shepherd, but the photo is a Malinois :(

Why would the trainer be held accountable? He didn't teach this bevavior and is reporting it. About the only thing he could have done, is confronted the guy in some way and he may have. I'm sure he didn't have his OC , baton or tazer on him. This stuff happens in a second and it is not expected. Who thinks that at any second someone is gonna start kicking their dog? Honestly! When is the last time someone visited your club and you informed them not to beat their dog?

One of the cops in the group that use to train where I worked picked his dog up and slammed him to the ground for going after another dog and kicked him too.I couldn't believe what I saw.That guy was an ass and shouldn't have been a K-9 handler let alone a cop.
