i have a female that took 12 1/2 months to come in for her first heat cycle and i will tell you she is one fertile girl , so no problems here, she is now 5 years old. she does take a bit longer to come in to her cycle , every 7-8 months.
but no problems breeding.

Robin- We had my female Xena who did not have a heat till she was 16 months old. She had a Normal heat at that time she came back in 8 months latter and we did a live breeding with her then. She had 8 puppies. After that she has had normal heat and is now 5 years old.

I had a girl who did not come into heat until 14 months, and neither did her mother, or a couple of her kids. She only came into heat about every 8 months, and when she was bred for her first and last time at 5 years of age she had 14 pups.
