Halos is about 7ft long, not quite 8ft, and weighs 15lbs.

Boas are the largest snake I'll ever own because it's unsafe and downright stupid to handle the larger boids solo. A general rule of thumb is one person per 6ft of reptile. Periodically you hear stories about "experienced" reptile keepers getting constricted to death by their large pythons while no one was there; well if they were truly experienced they wouldn't be handling large snakes alone.

I rehomed my pastel female (shown below) because she was getting aggressive. She wasn't dangerous in the lethal sense for a grown adult, but I didn't want her around my kids.

She was always a little sharp, and as she matured became a biter. I never got bit by her once she'd grown, but it wasn't for lack of effort on her part. I got tired of playing "Steve Irwin" every time I had to move her so I could clean her cage. The whole hook-and-tail-grab technique got old. You can see from the pic she's could in a pre-strike position.
