Kinda caught the tail end of this on today's Inside Edition...Made me sick..... At the end of the clip the puppy was on a vet's examining table. He sure looked like a German Shepherd puppy. His ears were trying to stand up and had "that" unmistakable expression... What do you guys think? Did anyone else see this??

OK, really did not expect this kind of reception from all of you! It warms my heart to know that there are so many animal lovers out there. I like many of you have definitely struggled with my impression of humanity. Reading these emails & comments has at the very least reminded me that there are still descent people in the world. For that I thank YOU!
Update- Puppy went to the vet yesterday. He has gained 6lbs in the last 4 days. Needless to say we are feeding him. He has some possible internal trauma around his lungs that show up on X-ray. Additionally has has some wear & tear on his paws. Beyond that he is actually doing pretty good. His teeth have really taken a beating from the distemper, a common side effect I am told.
So, the question everyone is asking, how can you adopt him. I can honestly say my primary reason for notifying the local news was to help get the word out to folks that may want to adopt him. We even met with a family last week to evaluate the fit. That one didn't work. As could be expected now that we have had him in our care for a week things are starting to change. He is adjusting to our dog & growing more comfortable in our home. I am not making any definitive statements but for the moment the adoption issue is on hold. Time will tell where this goes.
Again, I sincerely wish to thank all of you who have expressed your support to me & my wife. I wish I could hug each of you! If you are ever in the Salt Lake area do not hesitate to stop in our shop some time & say hello. Puppy may just be there to return the greeting.

This was posted on another post Canyon puppy. Could have been a pup from the rez that was looking for water and went down there and couldn't get back up.
