Most of the animals were kept in tiny crates that were filled with excrement. An officer was called to the kennel because of loud and continuous barking coming from the South Bay Pet Inn. Many of the dogs were living in carriers that were just 2 x 3 feet wide. "They couldn't move around for exercise. Three was no food or water in most of the cages. Inside the living room of the house was a female German shepherd with five little puppies in one of those carriers." Bartmess denies the allegations that were made on Thursday. She thinks the problems of the kennel are being exaggerated. "I say it's exaggerated and there's a lot of lying going on. I'm not saying everything was perfect. I think the situation between my side and what they are saying is absolutely bipolar ...." An emaciated German shepherd was found in the front yard, the dog was in a small dog carrier. The animal was so ill that veterinarians had to euthanize it. They then found dogs in the backyard and in the garage living in horrible, filthy conditions. "The ground was covered with feces over a foot high in some places." Carson shelter manager said the problem with most of the dogs was, they were very hungry. "Right now they are doing pretty good. We've been feeding them regularly and checking them regularly. They are in a lot better shape than they were in Saturday." Bartmess said she bought the kennel 4-1/2 years ago to breed dogs for sale. The business has not done well and costs her approximately $10,000 a year. The more dogs, the more problems they were having trying to take care of them. "This is kind of like a dream that turned into a nightmare. We've never made a living off the dogs, I don't know who could." The dogs will be kept at the shelter until the case has an outcome. Bartmess said she doesn't know if she wants the dogs back. Bartmess also had criticism for the animal control department which never offered her any help.

I gave the bullies the power that they had, without realizing what I was doing. But, I was really too young and couldn't have known better. Now, I know. Never back down to a bully! They are predators... same as rapists and serial killers. They are the same people who got into power by exploiting the human tendency to avoid confrontation... resulting in some of the greatest disasters in human history. Yes, the Jewish Holocaust was one of them. They always use political programs involving accusation, defamation and harrassment. They try to incite others to join them in the hunt, but they know instinctively that most will stand aside and not interfere. Weakness means "prey" to predatory people. Mean, predatory people need victims to persecute. It's what makes them tick. There is really nothing you can do to cure them. They are part of the human spectrum. You CAN refuse to give them license and power, by standing up to them. And, THAT, my friends, is what the First Ammendment is really all about.. I'm just exercising my own free speech, and I keep getting attacked for it. That should speak loudly as to the motives of the attackers.

I still haven't seen the ad that you said you would post for the puppies you said I was trying to sell. If you can't provide that, then I guess YOU ARE A LIAR!!!

I am not crying and running away, anymore. I've grown up, long time ago. I always wondered what happened to the bulies of childhood. Everyone has known some (if they weren't busy being one). Well, I had hoped that this was a behavior eventually outgrown. The evidence would suggest that little bullies grow up to be bigger bullies. Research has proven that many DO eventually metriculate to a life of crime. Having gotten away with it in childhood, they naturally assume that they can continue on into adulthood. Commercial dog food is not only full of dead, rotting carcasses of every imaginable kind of animal.. including other dogs and cats.. it is also tainted with melamine and other wastes of the plastic and coal refining industry, whenever they can sneak it in by handing it off as feedstuff commodities. This plastic renders a strong nitrogen signature when burned, which is interpreted as protein content in a gas spectrometer test, used to analyze fat / protein content in pet foods. Has everyone already forgotten the lessons learned in the Chinese pet food additive disasters? Those protein additives made their way to the US, allegedly via Canada, and poisoned thousands of dogs by causing crystaluria and blockage / scarring of kidney tubules... KIDNEY FAILURE!

Because it comes in a shiny bag, you pay $35 for it, you think it is kosher?

For that matter, because it passes a news editors desk, you think it is the truth? We have become a nation of morons. I'm not going to comment much on that newspaper article, except that the woman we (my husband and I) suspect who wrote the gist of it eventually sued the city she worked for under "sexual discrimination" filing and settled out for 1.6 million dollars. Kind of reminds me of that story of the black fireman who sued for racial discrimination, because his buddies put dog food in his spaghetti (as a joke) and he said it reminded him of slavery.. that slaves were fed dog food. Oh, really? Dog food didn't exist in the days of slavery.. I don't even think that canning had been invented, yet.

And, please consider the fact that I had a receipt for 340 lbs of dog food, purchased 36 hours before the raid.. and the "evidence" video was altered to omit all evidences of food (which there were).

How about the well-used claim of "no food, no water", which always appears alongside "piles of feces and rivers of urine". Well, which is it? It cannot be both, you know.. If there is no food and water, then where does all the feces and urine come from? Any rocket scientists out there? C'mon.. Can people really be this dumb, to believe this? Oh, there's plenty of feces.. between the ears and coming out the mouth. THIS is the real crime.. the perversion of our courts and news sources by liars!

Well when you feed and water 3 times a week and then don't clean kennels/crates for months that is probably how. Once criminal animal cruelty can be charged based only on alleged numbers of animals present--and not the quality of care they are provided--home and hobby breeding of dogs and cats will come to a screeching halt.
