OK, this is an x-ray of the hips of the dog of a friend.
Apart that the x-ray is awful positioning-wise, could anyone decide whether this dog is dysplastic or not?
Or do you think that with correcto positioning the result would change significantly?
Any input is apprecieated, Thanks in advance.![](/userfiles/31768_1328873307946_1414354031_30901036_1055441_n.jpg)

It's really hard to tell with an xray like that, looks like there's no degeneration to me but it's a really terrible x-ray ![](/fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/msn/confused_smile.gif)

I would not submit these to OFA.
I am just beginning to learn but I think they would be fair with proper positioning.
Could someone with more experience tell me if these bones here are underdeveloped or not?

The positioning is not perfect but the hip joints look good. Will be in better position to comment with perfect positioning.
The circled bone is the superior border of acetabular cavity and it is perfectly normal,no osteophytes and surely they are out of question at this age.

Swimming will help deepen the acetabular cavity.Try to swim your dog 1-2 months regularly before you take his final radiographs and see the difference.Regards.

Hello there,i am the owner of this dog, that you see the x-rays.
I am new on the forum and i awant to say hello to everybody and many thanks for the advises.
Spesialy i want to thanks my friend Petros for his interest and his advises and also that he recomended me this forum .
I see that the opinions for the x-ray are the same, its avery bad x-ray,but about the result we are not sure.
I will make a better x-ray when the dog is 12 months in a better vet clinic so we see if there is a problem and how big is.
For the moment the dog is in a perfect condition, very energetic, moves very fast and runs full speed and as Shri says we swiiming very regularly because we live next to the sea,
So i hope this is good for my dog.
What ever the result is anyway i am going to fight it together with my dog.
Any other opinios and advises are welcome.
Thanks again
