Keep looking. There are plenty of such sites where most people know nothing....but they won't tell you that either and people who know nothing do well together.

I find this to be very true when it comes to most things.
Here is a basic rule of thumb you should consider Europeans have been
doing dog sports for 100 years and breeding for a 1000. You will always have
a tough time competeing with that, but I say take up the challenge after all
you are Americans. And it is not your first or your last challenge. If you remember
the good teachers you had in school, not the ones who gave you the easy grades, but the
ones that were easy to learn from. Breeding and dog sports is like that, nothing has changed.
But most of all enjoy your dogs, each one is unique in its own way. There are allot of what I
would call dog brokers out there that have no interest in the breed, only how much money
will be made. Most of those people spend their time chasing the money. They don't go to the dog sites unless
there is money to made. People who don't know much but are willing to learn come here to
not for money, but to improve themselves. I see some of them chased off and I say this is not
right. So chose your words constructively please. And love those creatures God has blessed you with.

Just because some people don't follow and are not the bashing type, doesn't mean they are without knowledge.
Lets not forget about the ones that are here that watch for every little typo error, or the spelling teacher who watches for misspelled words. The ones who are quick to call others idoits, or quick to point out not all people are finanically rich and shouldn't be enjoying our wondderful breed. So what is there purpose for being here? Yeah, this is a wonderful forum if thats what you call bettering the breed. So if anyone in here thinks I am directing this at you, than you are probably quilty. So go on and enjoy your forum. To the rest of you on here, keep up the good work. YOU are the ones the new members as well as others really want to hear from. YOUR opinions and knowledge is what they seek.
Just my Opinion!!!
GSDoogiemom10, I will PM you a wonderful forum where everyone is welcome and equal. Everyone there is for the same reason, the GSD breed. You will enjoy being there, and everyone wants to help. They will answer your questions and not pick apart your post. They actually make you feel like your opinion matters. They are not quick to judge.

I think this board has gone seriously downhill. A person posts that they have just purchased a puppy, and they are having X problem with it, what should they do.
Certain people here have to come on and put them down for not doing enough research, for not having experience with the breed, for not being the right person for the breed, and so on. If they are considering breeding that dog, then so much the worse for them.
A straight out question should be given a straight out answer, and to condemn everyone for not having decades in the breed, or not knowing everything, is pretty childish...Especially given that for those who have decades of experience in the breed..didn't have that experience when they started. And no one, NO ONE, regardless of their experience with the GSD, with dogs in general, knows everything.
This is my opinion, but it's a shame that a person can't just ask a question and get a decent answer from most on here...I guess putting them down and trying to humiliate them makes some folks feel better.
That's one of the reasons I don't spend much time reading here anymore. This board is filled with negativity and hate, and is a sad place to visit. There are a few bright rays..Tarek, Ibrahim, a few others. For them, I am grateful.
Not that every question has a bright, happy answer. Most don't, I suppose. But the sarcasm and insults are better left off the board, as they serve only to stroke egos of the typist expressing them, and can, at best, only harm others.

Aren't you a charmer today? Sanctimonious? Big word. Doesn't apply to me, though I do try not to be rude and jump all over people, which is something you take great joy in, apparently. As far as DDR-DSH, who you are referring to, I have never praised nor condemned her. I didn't even know the gender of the person using that name, and I don't know her, not at all. I didn't know anything about the dog situation, and I have no first hand knowledge of the situation. I don't know what the case may be with this situation, and regardless, from what I understand, this goes way, way back.
You've never done anything wrong? You are a perfect saint? Well, dear Hodie, I doubt that very, very much. But you and your buddies on this board just love to attack everyone, and everything. Does it brighten your life to stomp people? I believe it must. I know a few people like you, and those people are some of the most unhappy people I have met in my life.
As for not posting answers, I post answers to questions when I feel that I have an answer to a question. I try to bring a little decency to this board. I will post, as I said, to what threads I choose to, and I'll say what I feel needs to be said. It is clear to me that my posts apparently aren't as you describe them, and full of nothing, for you attack me on them, which says that there must be something there. If there was nothing there, you wouldn't feel the need to call me out on them, would you?
What do I know about anything, you ask? I know plenty about a variety of subjects. There is no reason for me to admit I know nothing about anything, for that would be lying, and there's no point to sinking down there, is there?
To address your remark about getting a life, I have a life. Things are hard, for us, for everyone around this God-forsaken country, but that's life. We do the best we can, and go on. We don't get on an international board and stomp all over people to make ourselves feel better.
As your parting shot, that is simply none of your business. That is between Steph and myself, and does not concern you. You have no knowledge of the situation surrounding that day, nor what has transpired between then, and now. I stay in contact with Steph, and I will get her paid, with interest, as soon as possible. She knows that Oakley is loved, deeply so, and is the center of my world, my pride, and my joy.
There now, Hodie, did that attack on me make you feel better? It certainly didn't bother me, as I don't need your approval to get on with my life, or to post here. You said in a another post a while back that there were no hard feelings toward me, but your posts seem to imply a great deal of hard feelings...Perhaps you should talk to someone about them?
Anyway, I'm done with this thread. I have better things to do, like go groom Oakley AGAIN! She's blowing her coat, and we all know how much hair comes off a GSD when they blow coat!
