I agree with you vargas. Theses are what i call "Pedigree breeders" they dont give a damn about the dogs temperament,etc... other then worried about how many VA dogs are in the dogs pedigree... and have an excuse to sell the puppies for top dollars (4500 and up) I would stay away from those kind of breeders.

SGBH can you send me that website? I gotta see those pups. I paid $800 for a show/breeding dog that will be used for working later. I can't see ANY dog worth $8000 unless someone did the nearly impossible and finally whelped the perfect dog.

for $8000 i would expect that 8 week old puppy to be SchH3, V rated.. KKL1. A normal hips/elbows. Proven producer.. Yeah you may think... thats silly! well it is! So as spending that much for a PUPPY WHOS not proven :)

pedigree is a pretty significant issue when searching for a dog though. Dontcha think? After all it must initially look good on paper. Just my 2 cents. Bruce

Brittany you forgot to be a GrCh in EVERY registery and have K-9, search and rescue, and service dog training. For that price I want that pup to be able to go into the kitchen and make me a sandwich, open up a jar of pickles, make some fresh squeezed lemonade, and open himself a can of dog food while he's at it. = p

I know a breeder out here that sells pet puppies for $1500 & "show quality" for $2000 and the dam is crazy!!! But people pay it

EVERY puppy is a gamble!! I think $800 to $1300 is the most any puppy should cost. We have given puppies to "perfect" homes at no cost. Temperment, Structure, Pedigree.....ALL these things need to be strong to produce a well-bred puppy....and still it's a gamble.

stary_eyed_angel, bingo! It would be great having a dog that can do all of that :D Can somebody Tell me who this breeder is? This breeder who SGBH is talking about should be ashame of themselves... ALL I can say is.......... GET A REAL JOB! :)

just to add on.......... some people don't think they are getting a good puppy unless they pay $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ I have had people ask what is wrong with a puppy because we've asked $1000 for it!!! wrong????? wrong????? If these people WANT to pay $$$$$$$$ for a 8wk old puppy?!........HAVE AT IT!
