My initial inquiry asked about OFA ratings, titles on the parents, AKC papers, and age of the litter... this is the response I recieved....
Hi Ashley, theses are World Class Showline imported bloodlines that with AKCs would run you $5000-up.Unless you are looking to show your dog CKC is an accepted purebreed registry. There are many German A stamps as well as OFA Good/Excellent ratings in this line.If you'd like to further discuss the litter please give me a call at your convenience.
Next I asked if the parents were "V or VA rated" (seeing the puppies were "World Class Showlines" with a $5000 price tag for AKC papers), and again asked about the parents hip ratings (the grandparents, and so on hip ratings are important, but I am curious about the actual parents ratings obviously) this is the next response....
The grandparents on both sides are V and VA rated, meaning that with AKCs these dogs(parents)wouldve cost ME $5000 each,in turn Id be getting pups valued at around $1500-$2000.Anyhow the dam who's picture youre seeing is OFA Excellent, the sire is OFA good. You might also want to be concerned with ELBOWS when shopping around which mine are both OFA'd NORMAL.I'd be happy to show you pedigrees with titles and show rating info if you decide to come visit us.We also give written warrantees on our pups. What are your plans with a new puppy?
I am curious, isn't CKC the registry that registers mixed breed dogs as purebreds for the Puppy Mills?
Would you buy from this breeder? I do like the dam (even though she is a long coat), but am curious as to why "world class bloodlines" are being sold with CKC papers.... with CKC registration I would not be able to show my puppy in SV show's correct? I do realize the breeder has failed to answer a few of my questions, and in turn answered my questions about the parents, with "the grandparents", etc. However I am interested in this litter, but do not want to get burnt, or end up with a puppy that I can't show. Any advice would be appreciated. Something seems a little odd, but I have learned not to judge a book by it's cover.... Please Help!
Thank you in advance : )

(Camen x Poodle cross, no hair = no shedding. Perfect for people with allergies and non-existant housekeeping skills, good home protection agents, excellent additions to rodent abatement programs)

Several red flags - long-coated mother (so she has NO show rating - the breeder is going on the grandparents/other dogs in the pedigree to brag about) - the sire doesn't have a show rating either (at least not V or VA) if he's not titled - the puppies registered CKC may mean that one or both of the parents are not registered AKC (maybe the long-coated female was sold on limited registration or no papers so she wouldn't be bred, hmmmm?) -
depends on what you are looking for - these could be nice pets, but I sure wouldn't pay much for one.
where are you located and what are you looking for?

In a word, no. If nothing else, there are wonderful litters in any number of other ads for $1,500.00. These litters are AKC registerable, unlike puppies which are registered by the Continental Kennel Club.
You can send 3 photos of your dog to "CKC" and get 2 of your friends to sign as "witnesses" and you've got instant registration. To register a dog with AKC, you must provide a copy of the dog's import registration and official 3 generation pedigree, plus photos and microchip number.
Needless to say, I could get a couple of dogs that look sort of like GSD's, pay a couple of strangers to sign as witnesses and make up pedigrees off the internet. In fact, someone did that years back on a Westminster Best in Show dog (registered in the actual owner's name, but by a 3rd party) to show what a sham the registry is.
