My dog did not eat the whole day, So I jag him in the evening to perk up his appetite for the following day. After the jogging I let him dring water, I think he drink to much. Now he is very restless and crying and can not sleep and part of his stomach is very hard, and he is trying to vomit but nothing comes out. Is water alone can bloat? Hoping for your openion and experience. Thank you.

The dog not eating all day(24hrs) tells me that something else was happening that jogging could would not cure, but possibly exacerbate. If a normal appetite was suddenly loss in 24 hours in one of my dogs, the first thing I would do is take it to the vet.

He is not eating because my female is in season. I can not take him to the vet because it is 3 am in the morning. I just hope and pray that this is not serious. I keep on massaging his stomach to alleviate the pain. Thank you for your messages.

There is no emergency vet clinic in southern part of the Philippines. I can not do anything. I am really worried. He is the best GSD I ever have. At the moment he is still in my room. He already stop scraching the floor but he still groaning in pain. All symtoms of Bloat are present, His stomach is not as big as two hours ago. I just hope this is not serious. Thank you for all your concern

Please let us know the outcome of your dog. Is he OK? Did he make it to go to the vet?

You can try to give him Gas-x, etc from the drugstore to see if it can relive it until you transport to the vet, but if you continue to wait and don't get to the vet, it's very possible the dog can die. Friend of mine had his female die from bloat last month in her kennel and she hadn't eaten recently either.

That's what happened to mine..he stopped eating, couldn't get comfortable, then got listless..I took him right in and the xray him and say his stomache was filling up and intestines were twisted, or the other way around...but they went right in a saved him... Please be at the vets door when he opens..don't wait..what time is it now where you are?
