I have added dogs not in the database from other sources such as AKC, but I would never alter anyone else's pedigree.
Passwords would allow changes by the person who originally entered the data and the site administrator.
It's a lot of work when someone messes with a pedigree and it has happened to me.
I don't like it one damned bit.

I had a freind change my dog's pedigree becuase she felt she was helping me out, but in truth I felt a bit offended. I realize most of this is people trying to be helpful but there is also a riskthat these people are putting up incorrect info or damaging the integrity of this site....JMO

But then how could you put up your dog's parents, or fill in the missing spots? Can't have it both ways....

To all: thanks a lot for your thoughts and ideas and support.
I did let Oli know about that but I realize he is a busy guy, so no feedback from him yet.
What happened is really demotivating. I hope people would think twice before doing such things...
