Just freeze the meat for 3 weeks before thawing and feeding. Don't worry about adding fat; very few natural prey animals have much fat. If you feed egg, make sure it's omega-3 or free range eggs or it's  about halfway pointless. Don't add vegetables. Dogs can't digest them and they are a bunch of hassle for nothing. In the wild, new video shows that wolves shake the sh!t out of the paunch and intestine before eating it. All that's left is tiny amounts, mostly enzymes. Enzymes are good.

Depending on the "type" of raw diet you feed, you dont have to feed veggies....  I feed more of a prey model diet, which the only veggie type material they get is what they get from Tripe or a whole prey item...  We used to feer BARF about 10 years ago, but my dogs do better on the prey model diet.

Dogs can digest veggies, though, if you puree them and break them down in to a "veggie meal".  That is the only way they can....  Its in Billinghurst's book

I lasted for one whole week doing it Billinghurst's way. He recommends weird things like beets, which we all now know are not good for dogs. What a giant hassle, using one of those pulping juicers to break the veggies down, and mixing it up with ground meats and bone...the dogs looked at me like I was nuts. They were a whole lot happier when I started them on chicken backs.

I feed deer, turkey and kibble thru out the year. In the great state of Ohio you can get up to 6 deer, thats plenty to feed family, friends and dogs. My price on turkey is $6 for 40 pounds.  My dogs do great and seem to love the deer and turkey.

In Czech we were getting blocks of dear meat from a dear farm.  There was in it everything which people did not want to eat and trimmings of meats and fat. Cooked it with Pasta and pinch of a sea salt. Raw veggies are not useless they provide enzymes and vitamins. Dogs produce their own vitamin C but not enough. There is a theory that if they do not produce enough vitamin C then they are not able to digest minerals and that may cause the HD.  I recommend small amount of raw parsley apple or carrot blended in a blender. . 1tbl spoon per dog per meal. Yes wolf does not eat all of it but eats enough. Dogs and wolfs eat guts of dear with pleasure.  They also love cow shit and dear shit. = veggies. And then they puke on the back seat of your car.:)
