Hobby Lobby or Micheals Arts and Crafts had burlap.

The material is not jute or burlap, but french linen that Hans is talking about. Bite suits are made for a linen type material.

The French are very guarded about letting the "precious" linen out of France.

You are correct Slam dunc and Phil .
When I was doing Interior decorating many years ago, I was ask to cover the inside wall of Rothschild Department Store Windows in Oklahoma City, Okla..with French Linen... Instead of the French Linen, which we could have use French Linen sheets..but color was not what needed so we used instead a French Hemp Material...
I have done walls many times with French Hemp Linen and /.or burlap on den and walls of home with African , or Hunting decor in rooms with Trophies from Game Hunting in Africa...

SM,
You have a bite suit made of canvas? Please post a picture. Are you talking about a bite sleeve?

Ok, if you want to learn everything about French linen, and flax, but were afraid to ask, watch this:
www.lin.asso.fr/dvd/index-gb.htm
Bottom line, flax is the organic equivalent to fiberglass in strength. There are different grades, and a bunch of composites for industry. The one's destined for the runway or YR's walls will be finer and more costly than what one needs for a bite suit. Check out wholesalers of textiles. The French, of course claim they grow the best flax that makes the linen. Belgium might disagree.
