Sorry,  I just don't get it.  I don't know what "onion" is and I don't see the connection between the 20 trillion and a gay racehorse???
At the risk of being labled dumb by others, I have to ask to know.

It's a joke.

The Onion is a fake news that makes exaggerated parodies of real life.    Pretty funny, usually because there is a grain of truth behind it's ridiculousness and because they do it in such a way that it almost seems real.  
If you are easily offended don't watch or read the Onion.  If you are pretty open minded, then it can be a fun way to take your mind off of stuff for a few moments.  
P.S. they have a "news clip" of Shawn Johnson after she was "put down" by her parents when she broke her leg(Remember...it's all fake) a story that was made after so many great race horses have been put down after breaking legs.  If you look past how realistic and ridiculous the news clip is, you know they make a point.   

I was in stitches during the whole video....what a wonderful laugh!
