Puppy food - Page 1

Hello everyone its the youngster again. I was just wondering which dog food is better for growing puppy. Eukanuba or Maximum Nutrition? Both have Lamb as the main ingredient just curious. Also adding yogurt to the diet: at walmart there are so many different yogurts, fat free, low fat, fat which one do I buy. The yogurts that are fat free have a lot of vitamins more so than the fat containing yogurt. Just curious as to which brand to buy. Thanks

I have BOTH of my dogs on Nutro Max... they love it entirly! even my male, Jake WAS a fussy eater until i switched over from Pukeanuba (Thanks to this crap food my dog developed a huge, almost golf ball size lump on his neck) to Nutro Max ( thanks to this food after a couple of months later the lump is gone) Go to Nutro max( http://www.nutroproducts.com/ )with your puppy... your puppy will love it :) NEVER feed your dog IAMS.... Don't supplement a premium dog food, especially at the puppy stage. By adding things like cottage cheese, jogurt, etc, which provide extra calcium you throw off the calcium phosphorous ratio in the dog food, which is important for proper bone and joint development. A good food provides EVERYTHING your puppy needs. Also avoid any type of human sausage including hot dogs as treats since sausages are very high in phosphorous. Low fat is no way to go with dogs either. This is not a human on a fad diet, this is a dog that needs to develop properly. Dogs do not need human grade food, they need food made for dogs. Never seen a human yet who displayed the same kind of accomplishment, pride and haha, got every last edible morsel including coffee grounds and feminine hygene products as a dog does after raiding a trash can. ;o) There was a good thread on a good food to use a little while ago.
