He could be going thru a fear stage so be easy and don't coddle him. Just forge ahead and pull him along, he'll figure it out. Try not to bend over him to help avoid the submissive pee. My girl would be fine until someone bent over to pet her and she would let it go. Tell everyone to kneel down on his level. This will help. He's quite a chunk. Don't let him get overly chubby to protect his joints. I'd rather see a skinny pup than a chubby one.
