Hi everyone,
We took our Sasha to the vet. He did x-rays, lab work. All seem to be OK with her, he found some yeast inf. ( easy to treat). I asked the vet about lymes disease. He does not think that that is the problem. He thinks that it is a Geman SD's troubles with their hips...and the age does not help. He made an appt. to see a Dr. for acupunctures, she is schedule for next week. Lets hope all will be fine and that help her with her pains. Thank to all for the good ideas. gladys

Chiro and acupuncture are a good place to start. You amy also want to consider ordering a sling for her back end so you can help her on day when her mobility is low. I know of a 13 year old male going through the same thing, seems like he has good days and bad days.

My girl Cierra will be 12 in November and also had problems moving around b/c of her severe arthritis. I put her on sea mussel plus and she is doing way better. No problems moving around and she doesn't whine in pain any more. I get mine at www.vitacost.com just go into their search box and type in sea mussel. Like I said I give her the sea mussel plus and it has done wonders on her as well as me!!! For her I grind the tablets into a powder form and put it in her dog food. You are very blessed to have her around for so long. Best wishes for her to have many more years with you :-)

Thats good to hear . Can some one tell me what is German SDs troubles is ? I have never heard that term before .

Thank you Kelly, I will definelly look at the sea mussel plus and give it a try. Yes we are Blessed.... she is a great company and goes with us every where....Sasha's Bd is Nov 23rd, she will be 14 yr.

I was looking at Sea Mussel Plus - following Kelly's recommendations. and I also found Sea Mussel Extract, 100 Capsules $11.95 new - iHerb.com
Is there any different that will matter between the -plus and the Extract- I do not want to give sasha the wrong one.
Please let me know. thanks
