is it me??? or are people breeding dogs to look like this on purpose?? i am really getting sick of seeing this.
10-15 years ago these were called AMERICAN HOCK WALKERS. why do the germans want to ruin the breed too?
it can't be for the money.
the first thing people who remember what shepherds used to look like is, what is wrong with their BACK legs??
can someone help me understand this.(besides they are supposed to look like they are floating) the breed is a herding breed, not a floating breed
i don't care, since i will never own something that looks like this.
i just feel sorry for the public.
a woman around the corner from me bought a pup out of 1/2 american 1/2 german.
she can not believe the way his legs look. she is almost crying everytime i see her, asking me "if they will ever be normal" pup is 8 months now.
sorry----needed to vent after seeing that picture

I'm seeing far too many showlines that look like that pup.

I don't like the look of that dog at all...The right ear looks odd, his rear is way too sloped, although it could be the picture, but I can't image Oakley, even American bred as she is, being able to stand that way...She's way too well built for that.
I wouldn't take that boy if he was imported and offered to me free of charge. I wish her the best at finding him a home.
