I am very sorry to have to tell you all that Jan Novak died last night. Her husband, Dennis, told us they are not sure what happened. She hemorrhaged last night; they are doing an autopsy today. Information about service details will be on GSDWorld when we know more. Instead of flowers, Dennis suggested that contributions be made to either the American Cancer Society or to the Muscular Dystrophy Society (their grandson Jamie has MD). For anyone who didn't have the pleasure of knowing her, Jan really was an amazing person. She took me to my very first Sieger Show, and she always showed kindness in everything she did. She was a very dear friend, and will be greatly missed. :(

Sad news indeed, I have never met Janis in person but we have spoke on line many times, sometimes we agreed, sometimes we did not, always we respected each others opinions, ideas and thoughts. In my opinion,a true lady in every sense of the word. I had known that she was ill,and that it was serious, but this is still a shock none the less.I suspect she will never know how many people she has touched over the years, and I am sorry I never got to meet her in person. My thoughts are with her family and friends at this time, and know you will be missed by many. How sad that the final act in life is death....... Be pain free Janis. Till we meet again Charlie Ivory and family Canine Concepts of Connecticut
