sue--- they get vit. e/ester c., fish oil caps and alphalfa/kelp mixture. I also add raw (free range) eggs, plain yogurt, a little Honest Kitchen or Sojos Europa or ground veggies from whatever is in the fridge. Also canned fish (mackeral or salmon sometimes sardines) try to add a little beef/pork to their diet weekly besides the chicken/deer/elk. I do grind the chicken. Also beef liver. Basically I try to keep things varied. I was using a bit of Orijen but it got to spendy. Thanks for the links, I'll check them out.

Whenever the subject of RAW fish comes up, I always feel like I need to remind people if they are feeding RAW fish, stay away from any of the Pacific Salmonids, (Salmon, Trout, etc.) as they sometimes have a parasite that if eaten raw, can kill a dog.

The green tripe seems to help our older males that have had trouble keeping weight on.
We do have it raw and also sometimes use the canned. THEY LOVE IT. We mix it with kibble to make it complete.
My Boston Terrier who never had an interest in food gets in his crate like a GSD a feeding time now to wait for his turn.
It has helped with his hot spots and also both seem to be keeping more weight on.
His coat looks amazing and funny he just got a commercial spot and they could not believe he was 9!
WARNING it stinks I forgot and threw a can in the garabage came home and was convinced there was a dead animal in the house. But they love it and it works....for our dogs.
If you can bare the stench it is worth it.
