Switch her food. I had to take my female off of her food and finally found Flint River Ranch. I kept her on that and NO OTHER treats or food for 8-12 weeks, she is much better. Many times they are not able to digest the food well so they poop the undigested food out. It still smells like food to them. Also females are more prone to being poop gourmets. Don't feed her once a day, I feed mine twice. Biggest meal early in the day and a small meal later. Smaller feedings will allow her to digest her food better (I have a friend that has to feed her female 3 small meals a day and she hasn't poop snacked in a while). Also pick it up as soon as she poops. My trainer friends have told me that many times it becomes a self-rewarding thing, it has become a behavior that you will need time, patience, and a little creativeness to solve. I have learned to stay calm, let her poop and when she walks away from it after sniffing, I reward her with ball play. Later, I go and clean it up. It has taken a long time to retrain her, if she gets stressed, she snacks on her poop. I do know from my Native American friend that the Navajo used to call dogs "Eaters of Poop" (I don't remember the exact translation, but this is close).

poo eating is derived from days long ago in the wild----wolves eat their own feces for 2 reasons- recycle it/ leave an area without leaving a distinct scent, (or they have parasites) --- I have used FOR-BID in the past and has always worked

What are you feeding her?  Try Enzymes and Probiotics.  There are many brands, one called NZymes, one called Plant Enzymes and Probiotics by Animal Essentials, contain three enzymes like protease and lipase, which digests protein and fat, respectively.  Also give her bones to chew, dogs eat feces out of boredom, too.  Forbid (tm) may work, but it's not cheap because it goes by dogs weight.  The reason people say give pineapple is for bromelain, which you should give in pill form because pineapple has a lot of sugar.  Bromelain:  http://altmedicine.about.com/cs/herbsvitaminsa1/a/Bromelain.htm
