I am so proud of my Berta that received her SchH3 at the age of 9, and her son Eian who got his SchH1 at the same trial. She has been a wonderful dog to train & we have learned so much together training for both the HGH Herding & SchH3. It has been a wonderful experience. Here are some pics from the trial.

Congrats to Berta and Daphne! A job well done for sure! Not too bad for a 9 year old who was told couldn't title in Schutzhund! LOL

Nice to be able to prove some folks wrong! As you and Susan know after training together for so many years Berta is
first and foremost a great herding dog. She never had an obedience lesson until she was six years old - her Schutzhund 1 & 2 were achieved at the age of 7. I wasn't sure she'd be able to do the 3 after straining some muscles and having the cyst removed from her back in March. But taking her to physical therapy at Aqua Dog did the trick and she was able to get the 3 last weekend. So now she gets to retire in style - unless she wants to keep working and venture out to get her CDX - we'll see - no more pressure - just for fun.

that must be one great dog, attaining SchH3 at 9 years old.......that's amazing! Most dogs are slowing down and taking it easy by then.......congratulations!
