HR 45 Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sales Act of 2009

Please send this to everybody on your list.

Very Important for you to be aware of a new bill HR 45 introduced into the House.

This is the Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sale Act of 2009.

To find out about this go to any government website and type in HR 45 or Google HR 45 Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sales Act of 2009.

Or check Snopes: www.snopes.com/politics/guns/blairholt.asp

Basically this would make it illegal to own a firearm - Any rifle with a clip or ANY pistol unless:
  • It is registered
  • You are fingerprinted
  • You supply a current Driver's License
  • You supply your Social Security #
  • You will submit any medical data regarding mental illness.
Each update - change of ownership through private or public sale must be reported and costs $25- Failure to do so you automatically lose the right to own a firearm and are subject up to a year in jail.

There is a child provision clause on page 16 section 305 stating a child-access provision. Gun must be locked and inaccessible to any child under 18. The Government would have the right to come and inspect that you are storing your gun safely away from accessibility to children and fine is punishable for up to 5 years in prison.

http://www.opencong/ress.org/

This is just a "termite" approach to complete confiscation of guns and disarming of our society to the point we have no defense - chip away a little here and there until the goal is accomplished before anyone realizes it.

The Second Amendment America's original homeland security.

in indiana those areall questions youhave toanswer on your application to purchase handguns.what is wrong with letting the governmentknow who has licensed weapons.last year a man recentlyreleased from st.fracis mental ward killed his mother and shot  6 or 7 copskilling 1 or 2 with an sks.the wepons he got back from the police dept. after they were confiscated when he was taken tothe looney bin.

"this year will go down in history.for the first time a civilized nation has complete gun registration.our streets will be safer police more efficient, and the world will follow us into the future."

Don't worry Americans .. Judge Andrew Napolitano will host Freedom Watch with an upgrade from the Internet to Cable soon, it won't be too much longer. SSSShhhhhhhh, you hear that sound ?
Then, we will be in-yo-face truth to power.  I bet CNN, ABC, 123 and MSNBC all go bankrupt.  LMAO

Did anyone see the Judge filled in for Glenn Beck last night ?  Last night, the 5 o'clock hour of FOX was a taste of what real Freedom of the Press is in America and 100% US Constitution. How dare we.  HaHa

GO GO GO Ron Paul !!!

I really hope it passes.

Makes a lot of sense to me.  Law abiding citizens shouldn't have a problem.   Thanks for posting this, I'll be sure to pass it around so people can support it.

crazy people and criminals will always have guns...........

forcing law abiding citizens to go through all those hoops will cause more people to become law breakers........

many will not register.............

It won't matter for much longer............

Gov’t Attempting to Seize Smith & Wesson

Seemingly in line with other corporate seizures, the United States government appears to be attempting to gain a majority stake in prominent firearms company Smith & Wesson.

Smith & Wesson, one of the oldest weapons company in the United States, is currently on sound economic footing. However, a clause in the 2009 Stimulus Bill calls for the federal government to seize industries and companies that are essential to the economy or ‘government function.’

The Treasury Department contacted the company in March 2009, asking to buy shares at $10 above market price. However, this offer was sharply rebuffed. Similar offers have been made to Remington.

After this rejection, the Treasury Department has declared that it will use mechanisms in the Stimulus Bill in order to override the corporate decision. Smith & Wesson’s board of executives have also been informed that this decision by the Treasury Department could not be appealed to any superior court.

Percussion as well....And just as effective within limits.

They've all got my fingerprints....

We have to give a lot of information and then wait for the over the phone background check to purchase a weapon.

But so far they do not interfere with private sales.

And certainly no requirement that your weapon must be locked away in your own home.

No ones going to confiscate your weapons, they don't need to.

Soon you will be able to carry your concealed weapons into a National Park,  hows that for progress...

my friend was attacked by a bear on the while hiking last year. He's required many, many days in the hospital and many many operations to get the face back together. His Ruger 45 auto was locked in his car......little good that did him!

Well one point made by an opponent and I agree, is the there are people out there carrying that should not be.
Some people will use good judgment and many more won't.
I agree with that whole heartedly.   I know the people very well.
And maybe now that attack won't happen, but I don't wanna see brush shooters and don't wanna see a bear shot for raiding a garbage can.
My position is give a gun to anyone, but if this person screws up deal with him, not the rest of us.
But some times things cannot be undone.. People need to understand the responsibility that goes with a weapon.
