What does a (D) after the kennel name represent in the HD-Zuchtwerte ZW records?
by VomMarischal on 13 May 2009 - 03:05
I'm pretty sure it means all is well because DINKY is involved.

Germany? D = Deutschland.

IT COULD BE ONE OF 2 THINGS. IT EITHER MEANS DINKY HAS BEEN UP IN THAT OR THE DOG IS A DEMOCRAT.

D stands for Germany.
Since there are identical kennel and dog names in the world, the SV often has to differentiate. Example: All dogs from my kennel name carry "(USA)" behind their name in the SV database, because there is also a kennel with the same name in East Germany (luckily fairly inactive). That one would be Silbersee (D).

I think is is the sex of the dog. D would mean dam.
by Silbersee on 13 May 2009 - 16:05
Sorry schdiva, but it does not mean the gender of the dog. D stands for Germany! The gender in the HD-ZW databank (which is in German language) is not defined, but if it were it would be R for Rüde (male) and H for Hündin (female).
