If you could choose one working line or show line dog, which would it be and why?

I am interested in others' opinions, especially the "why." This is not a topic where I am asking you to post your own dog (because we all love the dogs that we own!), but rather a special or unique (or not-so-unique) dog in your dog's pedigree, or in another dog's pedigree.

I'm curious to see the diversity in the answers, or if there is a consensus (especially amongst those in favor of working lines). Is there a certain line working dog people gravitate to like show dog people? (Show dog people may or may not like the fact that VA Ursus von Batu is in a pedigree, but it is rare that you see any show people who say they do not like the dog, overall). Is it the same with working dogs? I've seen some pedigrees, and names like Orry, Troll, Aly, Crok, Mink seem to pop up like Ursus, Rikkor, Jeck, Zamb, etc. in the show line dogs' pedigrees.

I've just been studying pedigrees and thought it would be interesting to get a perspective I've neglected by looking at dogs through others eyes, and seeing what characteristics/traits they see in the dogs.

Yoschy Dollenweise and Grief Zum Lahntal. Hands down. See them to believe... Everything what a German Shepherd was meant to be.

cheers

I would pick Pike. He  had one of the best OB routines i have ever seen and his protection work was solid. He also produced very nicely.

Smartguy, which Pike? I'm not too familiar with working lines.

I've noticed a lot of working people gravitate to Yoschy Dollenwiese.

Thank you for all of your input!  Looking forward to reading more opinions.

Never saw the dog work, don't know too much about him, but have noticed he's in the way back of a lot of the dogs that I like pedigrees--Mentor vom Haus Iris. Either he was very good & prepotent, or he was bred to outstanding bitches, or both, but I think maybe he was very good! IMHO jh

Okay, I'll throw in some hochtzuchtlinie.

Bodo vom Lierberg VA1, SchH3, FH, Kkl1

Eiko vom Kirschental VA1, SchH3, FH, Kkl1

and everyone knows I like Ursus vom Batu, also a VA1 Schh3 Kkl1 dog who was also an adored family pet. I liked Ulk vom Arlett too.

Ursus, If I had to choose just one.
