I bred my bitch on March 30 and April 1.  She was bred on days 12 and 14 of her cycle, but then ended up having a long estrus.  Since the breeding, she has been less active, is loosing hair around her nipples and they have gotten a little bigger, and last week began loosing her appetite in the morning.  I took her to the vet on Monday April 27, and she was unable to palpate anything and suggested re-palpating next week.  Should I be worried that this is a false pregancy, or do you think maybe it was just a little to early to feel anything?  Or maybe it's a singleton?  This is a maiden bitch.

you should go and get an ultra sound, the vet can do this at 4 weeks.
a lot of females do go off there feed at 3 weeks.
it is very possible she may  be pregant.
no all vet are good at palpating , ultra sound is best to confirm pregancy.
good luck.

I will look into ultrasound.  I work at a vet office, but we don't have it there, I really wish we did.  I'll see if I can go to the place where I used to work.  Don't want to have to spend a zillion dollars on an ultrasound if I don't have to.

Less activity, less appetite.
Its fairly early but she should be gaining a little size in her belly, I can usually feel it before I can see it.
I bred around mid march and shes just now showing a little.
I also saw a few days of lose of appetite in my bitch, add something to her food.
You can't change anything by worrying about it, be patient.
And excersize her, its good for her.
Save your money.

You can also have a blood test done. it will tell you a %100 if she is or isnt preg.

Go for the ultrasound.  I did blood test on a female, was a false negative (over 30days post btw).  4 pups.I do ultrasound now.

if you dont have the money to do an ultra sound, then i would just say wait till she is due and see what you get.
my female does not start to show till 5-5 1/2  weeks.
but i just  would wait till she is due and if she has pups then great.
i have never done an ultrasound. i just wait.
hope things work out.
