My new tenant has an Australian Sheperd named Ginger and today they bonded.
Later, the doorbell rang, it was the delivery of my new doors. So, I put Pharaoh in the Great Room downstairs and shut the door. The doors were being stacked in the garage. Suddenly, Pharaoh appears in the garage!!!!
He learned how to use the door knob (lever style) and simply opened the door.
Fortunately, he only performed one modified jump up. He can rear up on his hind legs and without any contact between his paws and the lucky recipient's body, he licked her face with his long tongue. Pharaoh feels that this is technically obeying the rule about not jumping up on people. He is very, very pleased!
Here's Ginger, she is 5 years old and just a great dog.
