sorry about that. the message posted before I finished it. As I was saying, I have a Yasko son and an Ando daughter that are almost 18 months old. i would like to have their hips and elbows scored through the SV scheme. I live in Saskatoon, SK and no one seems to be able to tell me how I go about getting the x-rays taken and sent for certification with the SV. I contacted the SV and they said to contact Schutzhund USA. So far no reply.Does anyone out there know if this is possible? There is a vet college in town that can take the x-rays.They will also issue a certificate, but I may take the dog back to Germany and would like to have the SV rating. Thanks i

You might want to call Angelika from USA and see what the exact requirements are. Check their website how to contact her, she's really awesome to speak to. Best Regards, Dawnmarie

If you live in Canada you can't get send X - rays to the sv for certification. If you live in the US you can send them in threw USA for certification if your a member . The USA don't except X-Rays from anyone that lives out side the US.

I went to the wda website, but the info etc, won't open.

I live in Canada and I'm going to do it through the WDA Joy Schultz sent me the papers to use. You can't do it with USA but you can with WDA. They have a new program. Try the second link I sent above and look on the right hand side on the bottom and click on where it says link to the new sv hip program.

I think you'd get as good or better an evaluation by sending your "premlinary" x-ray to the OFA. Or wait until they are 24 months and get them certified.

Thanks for the help. I contacted Joy and she has been extremely helpful. My emails were answered promptly and the forms are on their way to me already.I'm not interested in OFA certification as I hope to show the dogs in Germany at a later date if all works out. I also plan to send xrays to England for enrollment in their hip scheme as I also have a British import. Personally I don't think OFA is better or worse than the SV. Itis a matter of opinion and personal choice. What is important is that the dogs are xrayed.I also test eyes and blood.
