YOUR WASTING YOUR MONEY ON THESE VET PRODUCTS AND KILLING YOUR DOGS ALSO. USE GARLIC, FLEAS N TICKS WILL NOT EAT ON GARLIC BLOOD. CHEAP AND EFFECTIVE. CHEMICALS PUT INTO DOGS IS KILLING THEM QUICKER THAN LETTING THEM LIVE A LONGER LIFETIME WITHOUT ALL THE SHOTS, FLEA CONTROLS, ETC. ALL WE PUT INTO THEM GOES INTO THE LIVER AND KIDNEYS. TRY AND WORK ON NATURAL PRODUCTS SUCH AS PURE APPLE CIDER VINEGAR RAW.

Hi chickadee,
its funny you talked about garlic and apple cider vinegar with the mother as i have a recipe here for us humans made up of these same ingredients. I cut up the garlic and let it sit in the ACV for a few months then add honey so that might work as well for the dogs. I also use ceder chips on the outside of the runs, but not so that they can eat it. It is another holistic way to keep those pesky fleas away.

From ASPCA's website:
http://www.aspca.org/pet-care/poison-control/people-foods.html
Onions, Garlic, Chives
These vegetables and herbs can cause gastrointestinal irritation and could lead to red blood cell damage. Although cats are more susceptible, dogs are also at risk if a large enough amount is consumed. Toxicity is normally diagnosed through history, clinical signs and microscopic confirmation of Heinz bodies. An occasional low dose, such as what might be found in pet foods or treats, likely will not cause a problem, but we recommend that you do NOT give your pets large quantities of these foods.by gsdk9va on 13 February 2009 - 13:02
Dogs can get canine lice, although it is rare. Yes, the conditions are usually filthy for a dog with it, but most imprtantly, dogs that are in poor condition and malnurished are most vulnerable. I just mentioned it because it is one of the buggers Frontline Plus controls, while other products like Bio Spot don't. Frontlne is just a better product.
i just did my Frontline application, but I am thinking of switching to a topical (Adams in the blue bottle) for a month or so, just to use a different product w/ a different active ingredient...just so the dog won't become immune. I'll see if that works as well....You have to apply Adams every 9 days.
To the others that wrote about poisonous pesticides........Yes, I hate using a pesticide, systemic or topical, but I also hate disease carrying buggers eating my dog alive. We all have to pick our poison and make our choices. I wish we had better more practical options.
