Hey everyone, while here in MD I have been told of a female, approximately 12 - 18 months.  Her owner died and she is in the care of his girlfriend.  She has no papers, is good (and protective) with small children.  I don't know much beyond that but do have a contact number if anyone is interested.  She's a pretty little thing as you can see in the pictures.  Her name is Justis.

If the dog has a good temperament and is healthy, I can usually place them in good homes fairly quickly - I "do a little rescue" here at my kennel in south-central PA.  If interested I can be reached at eichenluft@aol.com

She looks just like my Zoe!  What a doll   That's a shame to hear about her owner dying...If Molly can't take her, I'm sure you'll find her a good home.

Please keep us posted about her!

Thanks guys, I did speak to the woman that has her and she said she's protective of the children.  She said she has never gone to bite anyone but is all teeth and snarl if she doesn't know you and you approach the little ones.  I'd say she's doing her job but I'd have to see first hand.  I may give her a call back and try to go and meet them, then I can realy a little more info.  This girl is working a couple of jobs and is not reachable until evening.  I'm not going to be here much longer but I'll try to get over there.  I'll let you know and thanks!  I'd hate to see her end up in the pound and I can't take her with me.  There is a possibility I could deliver her if she's okay with me...

What a cutie. Those ears may not be to the German standard but they sure are cute.
Good luck!

Yes Shelley, I agree.  But she is also young and may just grow into those ears!  Her face is really sweet, I hope we can find her a home.  I thought it was funny that on my very first stop I've run into a rescue case.  Hey, maybe I can turn my trip into a traveling rescue!!
