Hello all,

I will not delve into folklore but there are few myths about raising dogs in total light or total darkness versus sometime light and sometime darkness.

Can friends shed some light on what is the affect on the psychology and behaviour, if any, of the dog if raised in such conditions?

regards

I think (but it's really my thought) total light is as bad as total darkness.they may lead to aggressivness(psychological) and/or a physiological disorder

Life comes from Light, darkness yields decay and rot..Not only in a material way but the Bible teaches that  Yet a little while is the  light with you. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness come upon you, for he that walkerh in darkness knoweth not whither hee goeth. jn. 12:35.     Any where light is mentioned it is about life, darkness is mourning, death and evil...

Seeds wont grow with light. A person in darkness soon become to stumble and fall and soon gives up on living..     It is very hard to seperate spiritual light and darkness from the body which has to have light to exist.

Jn 3:19 refers to the difference in light and darkness as to good and evil...All you have to do is make the paradox and same with raising anything that breathes.  If you walk in darkness you slip and fall...LIke the blind leading the blind.

Darkness causes the whole earth to be out of course, so the same thing would happen to trying to raise a dog or anything in the dark..   Ps.82:5

This is a strange question?  Why do you ask...are we going to be in the dark after  Jan , 20?  I know if a nuclear bomb gets dropped on us by the  Iranians, or Korea, we will be in the dark underground in our bomb shelters ,if we have one...here in Texas we have water when you did down far enough for a bomb shelter...living in darkness would require a battery operated system...Price of that?????doesnt work on my budget.

Using exposure to all light or all dark environments has, in fact, been discussed in the human psychology literature and even in some of the more erudite animal behavioral research literature. It is too much to simply summarize here. It does not take much thought to realize that one situation is deprivation and the other is too much stimulus. A little more thought can lead to some ideas about what behaviors one would then see over time. But why on earth would one do this to an animal or human unless wanting to torture them? I personally would not want to do it even for the sake of research.

Want to be more specific Vikram?

I have wondered if pet store lights that remain on non-stop, could they cause iris cysts?

NO - the wavelengths are not those that cause injury.

What wavelengths would cause an iris cyst?

Just to simply answer your question Vikram the effect would be bad.

Want details, be more specific.
