Some here know that I have committed to taking my time in finding my second GSD, a female.
I would like to have one within a year, but I am willing to take longer if that's what's needed to get exactly what I want.
But if I had to decide today, I found what I may be looking for, at least in terms of overall appearance. There are so many beautiful dogs out there, so many colors, types, lines, etc, it can get mind boggling to me. I kind of felt like this when I decided to get serious about finding a lady 36 years ago...so many options, so little time. ; >)
I will need to see and observe such a dog in person, but this lady has really caught my eye. I don't want a dainty looking female, that just wouldn't fit with me. This one looks strong, yet attractive to my eye.
The girl I am posting about is not for sale, but until I see something better, my eyes are in love with her.
What might one expect to pay, generally, for a dog such as this, with a strong pedigree etc.?

I agree she is a looker. I like a female that looks a little more on the masculine side myself. She's got a beautiful head on her.
As far as what you'd pay for a dog like this that would really all depend on what we're talking about. Are you asking what a pup would cost? That would determine if the parents were titled and what the pedigree was like; but lets assume the parents were titled and the pedigree was of a desireable quality, I'd say it's likely you'd pay between $1000-1500 for a pup. That's typically what we see WL's selling for. Now if you are asking what you'd pay for this specific bitch that was older, then that would be more difficult to guess because many factors would be taken into consideration such as how much if any training the dog has, is she titled, KKL'd, has she had proven litters, her pedigree, age...that being said you can expect to pay anywhere from $2500- 5000 or possibly even more. Also depends on who you're buying from. Some kennels or brokers will overprice dogs just because they can.
A pup will be lighter on your wallet definately but there's no guarantee it will turn out to be what you hoped. I would first determine if a pup is what you are wanting and set a realistic budget, then go from there.

She looks like a male. KK2. You didn't give enough info for cost evaluation.

She is really nice, I see that they are planning a breeding with her, you might want to ask about a bitch puppy, and mention that you want one that favors her mom!
Good luck!

There you go Gator; a litter on the way and it just might be what you're looking for. Worth contacting the breeder on this one.

They are going to breed Genta, who is superb to Vito, OK but is more of a showline type than what you seem to be moving towards.
On the page where they show Vito x Zusa pups, the females have narrow muzzles and look more like Vito. I seriously doubt that Vito x Genta will produce anything like Genta.
I would really go for a pup from this litter Genta-Erri
Erri Genta
It is hard to tell fromt the website, but, Erri z Blatenskeho Zamku may be in Europe. Perhaps they imported Genta in whelp to Erri. I doubt there would be a Genta type puppy from Genta and Vito.
The Genta x Erri pups are pictured on their website and they are stunning. Why don't you suggest that you would be interested in one of those pups if it came back to the breeder for some reason. It would be old enough for some health testing and you would have a very good idea of what you are bringing home.
