Requirements-

  • Dogs eat it, look and feel great
  • Very little poop, always firm, easy to clean up
  • Not too hard to find
  • $50. for 35 lbs. or less
  • Breeder's/Kennel program
  • Does't need refrigeration

How come I can only get 4 of 6 requirements?

I don't think a perfect dog food is possible.

Unless you make it yourself.

I pay  $20.00 for 50 # , no refridgeration, they eat it altho I add to it often, poop is poop, I don't care as long as its consistant.

They seem to stay fit and look fine but again I add to it often with little extras.

Buy enough and you can get it wholesale, shipped maybe.

Why, are you considering a change?

because, to get 5 , you need number 6

I like vetschoice holistic formula www.vetschoice.com I pay about 40 for 40lb bag, dog looks great, love it and are happy, switched all my dogs to it and I can see improvments. Perfect food? No but so far all that give to their dogs love the results. For breeders I think is about 30-35 dollars they are located in NY.

I'm going to tell my local store to take a look at this.  It looks really good.  I got them to buy Orijen now that is all they sell.    Do you know if they have any mail order retailers?  As there is no store close to me.

I love Evo dog food, small bites. First our dogs love it, coat is great on it as well, Poop is rock hard I don't think its too hard to find you can always order it online but costs more. 28.6lbs for $46 is the going rate at this point. You're not too far from me Shelley if you are interested.

muttlover25-I am paying $63.00 for a 29# bag of Evo...must say dogs look good, coats & eyes bright, stools very hard & small. Where are you buying from? I also use Orijen, another really good food. jh

I am a distributor of EVO and also can get Solid Gold type foods as well.  You can try looking into becoming a distributor of the food, this way you get the discount on all the products they sell.  You usually have to place a minimum order BUT with the crew I have here thats never a problem!

I am feeding EVO. (Chicken) $46-50. for 29# at Affordable Pet in Northampton, PA. All their prices are pretty good because they buy so much. For some reason the large bite formula is more expensive even though its the exact same recipe as the small bite. They didn't have enough of the latter last time I was in. (I only go 1-2x a month, 20 mile trip each way) I like the EVO, but am concerned about 42% protein long-term.

I guess I'll stay with that for now. I don't have nay pups under two years old. At least I don't have to feed so much of the EVO. Lots of nutrition, highly concentrated.

I pay 95 USA for a 30lb bag of Acana for the Pup and the Hypo food costs me 125 USA for  32lb bag for the other dog plus i have to travel 80kms to get it

So you Guys have it easy
