I have read many posts about Von der Stadtand Kennel and Clayton Warichak. In the past few months I have had the opportunity to talk with Clayton on the phone several times. I am looking for a possible stud to breed with my female . Clayton has been very helpful explaining pedigrees and bloodlines, as well as letting me know what is involved in whelping a litter. This past weekend I drove to his house and had the pleasure of meeting both Clayton and his wife Margaret, as well as their son Seth. They invited me into their home and I was greeted by 3 beautiful german shepherds.I was able to see his male Limonite, who I must say is the most impressive dog I have ever seen. Clayton showed me Limonite doing obedience off leach, and even let me test the dog in protection work. Limonite was confident, very driven, and had a very good grip on the sleeve. After we were done the dog went back to being my friend. Although my female will not be in heat until summer I don't feel the need to look any further for a stud. I would recommend Von der Stadtrand kennels to anyone looking for a high quality dog.
