BreakFast Bowls link
I'd be curious to find out IF this actually works. It sounds promising though.

It's worked well with 2 dogs I know, a Mastiff and a Golden Retriever. Just make sure you get the metal one, because a frustrated dog might chew off the lumps on a plastic one. The metal bowl is quite heavy and very well made.

While it looks like and may very well be a good idea, I am afraid that my dog would use the 3 tit's to grab and turn the bowl upside down, defeating it's purpose.

I use them for our labs who inhale their food. They work well and they take more time eating. I have the plastic ones. I left the bowl in the kennel the dog chewed on the obstruction pieces but it didn't ruin the bowl. Other then that they're great feeding bowls to have. I'd say get one if you have trouble with the dog eatting to fast or taking in to much air. It's worth it.

Forgot to mention, I don't think the dogs could flip it upside down. The 3 things in the center seem to be placed in just the right spot so they can't and the base of the bowl is wider then the top so the dog can't get it flipped over. Neat idea. Wish I thought of it.

I had a dog long time ago , he inhaled his food so bad he would puke after . I was advised to lay a rock in the middle of his food pan and place his food around it . It worked !! Back then they did not have those fancy bowls :))

Pia, exactly right. That's what I used many years ago for horses, 3 or 4 big stones / boulders in their feed... stops them rushing their food, no reason it shouldn't work for dogs, just make sure the stones are big enough and boil them first!

with the greedy ones I always scatter the food all over the kitchen floor lol takes the buggers ages to find it all lol
half bricks/stones work well
the other trick I found was to have two bowls (heavy ones) one large one small put the food in the large one then turn the small one upside down over the food so the dog has to work around the smaller bowl.
kong toys stuffed with the daily ration of kibble and yogurt then frozen this is good for the higher drive dogs keeps them out of trouble for hours:) i can fit the daily rtion of kibble in three black kongs
