Female heat cycle and scent/sight of male dogs - Page 1

Do you agree and how strongly that many female GSD's will not have strong heat cycles when there is no intact male dogs in the vincinity?

HOW would you test this....  this is an unanswerable question

Speaking from experience, if there's a male dog within miles, he will come to visit! So, unless your bitch lives in some sort of an isolation cell (God forbid!)  she is going to at least be able to smell a male.

Also, a lack of the right equipment didn't stop my neutered male from mounting AND tieing with my bitch last time she came into heat!    I had to keep her crated when I couldn't supervise them both, as she hated being tied and would struggle and cry.
