Please critique this x-ray

You experienced out there,  please rate  this x-ray of my six months old. My vet says looks good but OFA who knows, she said.

Thanks RKS

Hello,Looks like fair to me,I am not an expert on this but being a human doctor I could judge this much.Try swimming this puppy that is the best non weight bearing exercises for dogs to improve on the hip and thigh muscles which in turn will help to maintain the congruency in the ball and socket of hip.Take care.Regards.

seriously, forget OFA go directly to the SV at 12 months.    You are probably looking at a2 from the SV.

Hips look good for a 6 month old. They have not fully developed yet and they look very nice to me.

Also look good to me if they stay like that.

What usually happens between 6 mo. and two years?  My vet tells me that the hips only go downhill and get looser from their prelims, but I've heard many breeders say that the hips usually tighten as pups are supposed to have more laxity.  Also, I've heard that DDR lines have more laxity than most when they are still young.  Does anyone have experience with how the hips laxity progressed from 6 mo. to 2 years on their dogs?  Just wondering how accurate prelims are and if they usually are better or worse as adults.

I have to disagree with your vet as their to not calcify and harden up until 8 to 10 months. One of my males looks similar at 9 months to the above and they look like this now at 2 years
