Hey all,
My brother and his dog Edzel were involved in a crash last night. Both are ok but pretty beat up.Edzel had to be cut from the car with the Jaws of life. The car is a total mess.
My brother was at the end of his shift and on his way into the S.D.He was busy doing his job protecting the streets.
For those who remember Brian lost his retired dog Apollo last week. Seems this is not his week.I am Thankful today to have him alive .Please say a prayer for the fast healing of both

When it rains, it pours. We will keep him in our thoughts and prayers. We can be grateful it wasn't worse. Sounds like it was a nightmare.

I saw the crash on Channel 7 news. Tell Brian I am glad he is ok, and hope he is able to get back to work soon.
Didnt he get t-boned before too with Apollo? I seem to remember someone telling me he got hit a while back and his K9 insert really saved the dog. Glad he is ok.

Last year he was in a crash, but again with Edzel.Yes the insert saved the dog from really getting hurt.Wish they had one for the men in those cars ,my brother was really hurt last time.
The insert was able to be fixed the last time but this time they had to cut the insert so it will not be able to be fixed this time. The company I work for will be starting a fund raiser for the insert next week.As the last one was paid for with donation from the area.Jeff email me if you want to be involved with the fund raiser.I know you are in the area and maybe you have some contacts we could use.

The individual that ran the red light and caused the crash should be liable for the replacement of the insert (as well as cruiser but at the very least the insert)

That would be my thought as well.Last time however they guy had no insurance and owned nothing so you can't get money from him.If this guy turns out to have insurance we would donate any money we have collected for the K9 dept.I spoke with the Sheriff just last week about doing a fund raiser for other dogs and training. We were to have a meeting 1st of Jan but then this crash came up.
This is a small dept and they can use all the help we can give them.I will let you all know as soon as I hear more.

I will drop you an email. I know Brian well, my mom worked with his dad at PECO. Also if an insert becomes a problem, I am the president of a National K9 Association, and I will see that they get a donation of an insert. My company has 3 used ones that we could done one through the assoc.
