My nine month old Greta was stolen by the breeder on November 14, 2008.  Cindy Hiemenz of Von Fenwald Kennel, Stone Hill Pet Resort, Luling, Texas drove down to my home, assaulted my husband and drove off with Greta.  She is now asking for almost $4,000 before I can get Greta back.  Per our agreement I was paying monthly for Greta.  A civil suit will be filed shortly but in the mean time Greta is in jail.  She is used to sleeping on our bed, watching TV on the sofa, and occassionally getting a scoop of ice cream for dessert.  This breeder is the worst of the worse.  For those doubters just look up ripoff.com and type in Von Fenwald Kennel.  Do an advance search and there are many complaints mostly from Northern Illinois where she was located prior to moving to Texas.  Any advice would be most appreciate.

Karama:  I heard early summer from a board member she had moved to Texas from Illinois and had german  Breeders looking for her for non payment of their shipments to her....

This may give them some info as to where she is...Evidentually some people in Illinois have terms against her also..I was sent to the    site for complains against breeders.

pm privately

Okay Karama,

there should be more than a civil lawsuit pending if this person did indeed, come onto your property, assault your husband and take your dog. There has to be more to it, or at least more to this story. Did this happen in Texas or in another state. Criminal charges should have already been filed and a warrant for this person's arrest should have been issued. Why only a civil suit? Why is she charging you $4,000.00 and if you had an aggreement to pay her monthly, where did this all go wrong? I have read all these complaints on RipOff Report website and it doesn't look very positive for this breeder (she seems to have a habit of screwing buyers) , however there has to be more to this incident than is being said. If I have missed any other postings of yours regarding this matter I have not read them or do not know about them, so I will apologize ahead of time.

Also there are many of us here in Texas, so what exactly are you wanting us Texans to do to help you? You can PM me privately if you prefer.

Respectfully,

Debbie

Of course there is more to the story.  There are criminal charges filed with our local police department.  She assaulted my husband who is not a young man and did not defend himself.  There will be a warrant issued for the assault.  However the local police determined that it is a civil case to get my dog back.  Therefore, I had to send a certified letter giving ten days notice before I can pay the court filing fee and the summons service.  On December 1st I will go the JP in Luling, Texas and filed the appropriate paper work.  Then she will be served with a notice to appear.  I am praying for a court day before Christmas.  This breeder has quite a history.  Look her up she has many complaints.

seems to me she stole your dog ! i dont think O J got away with that in las vegas.seems he got arrested for taking back his things that were not paid for.the person should get arrested for theft and then sue you for the balance owed seems backwards to me.

Some times the law does not work for the innocent.  This woman has such a bad history.  Look it up.  Read Ripoff.com and type in Von Fenwald.  Do an advance search.  She gives good breeders a real bad name.

i dear say the cops have it backwards ,i believe she is what you say.she should have sued you .not the way she did it .her actions to retrieve the dog in my opinion were ass backwards and the police should charge her with theft.i thought possession was nine tenth the law.

Laws are for the guilty not the innocent.  But the most important isue is that she has MY Dog and is holding her for ransom.  I am still looking for someone who can help get Greta home

I had some scum steal my dog Lacy once. He came to my house when I wasn't home (some of you know him from this board), assumed I was OUT and About, and took my dog. I called the Police, I lived in Pa. at the time, He lived in NY. Police said it was a civil matter also. Myself and wuzzup, took our asses over the border to NY, went to his house, and, needless to say,GOT MY DOG BACK. When it comes to dog theft, especially MY dog, there is no being Civil.

If I was in Texas, I would go get your dog with you. Believe me, I know how you feel. I hope you get an early court date, and find yourself having a Merry X-mas after all. I wish you the best of luck!
