With a heavy heart I must share with you the passing of one of my family members.
Retired k9 Deputy Sheriff Apollo of Clark Co Ohio..
Apollo was my brother's protecter in this crazy world.
I owe him more then I could ever repay. For indeed I owe for keeping my baby brother safe.He was my hero.
My brother and his dog along with other K-9 partners protect us all not only here in Ohio but all over the U.S.Apollo was one of a kind .My brother is overcome with grief.Apollo was such a wonderful dog with a heart as big as I have ever seen He was one of a kind .

Please send me a email or IM so I can share with my brother that we all understand the bond
and now the loss he feels

Dedicated to Retired k9 Deputy Sheriff Apollo.
Passed Away Nov. 18, 2008
GRIEVE NOT FOR ME FOR IT HAS BEEN ORDAINED,
THAT MY JOURNEY HERE BE SHORT.
GRIEVE NOT FOR ME FOR MY LOYAL PRESENCE
WILL EVER REMAIN IN YOUR HEART.
I WAS SENT TO BE A GUARDIAN
FOR THE GUARDIANS OF LAW
A FEARLESS, NOBLE PROTECTOR
WITH A BOND THAT FEW CAN CONSTRUE.
WITH CHARACTER UNSHAKABLE,
AND SENSES THAT ARE WELL HEIGHTENED,
I WAS SENT TO BE A DEFENDER,
SO THAT YOUR BURDEN HERE WOULD BE LIGHTENED,
GRIEVE NOT FOR ME FOR IN HEAVENLY BLUE
OUR REUNION DAY WILL COME.
GRIEVE NOT FOR ME FOR AS PARTNERS, AGAIN
WE WILL DEFEND A GREATER KINGDOM

I am so very sorry for you and your brother's loss.  I hope Apollo enjoyed a long and healthy retirement.  The pain of your loss is inconsolable.  Only time will help and even years later there will be a pang now and again.  The huge hole left behind will shrink in time but tell your brother it is ok to grieve.  It validates Apollos existance.  Our girl is preparing to cross that Rainbow Bridge soon.  We are just waiting for her to tell us she is ready.  Please let your brother know that there are many of us sending our thoughts and prayers his way.

My heart goes out to you and your family. Losing a beloved dog and partner never gets any easier no matter how many times you go through it or how well you try to prepare yourself for the inevitable end. Apollo is waiting for you at the Bridge, in good company to keep him occupied till you get there.
