I speak to Bill every day, but i knew when looking at my mobile phone who the caller was, that it could only be bad news, and it was. Harry is gone, Bill and I have lost our mate, travelling companion, drinking partner, comedian and most of all our Teacher.  Harry had forgotten more about the GSD than most of us know.  Our journeys to shows, no matter what the distance would fly by, because Harry would keep us enthralled with his memories of the Fifty years in the breed. The abiding memory i will always have of Harry  will be his Humility, and his humour.  All our thoughts must go to Rose at this awful, awful time.   HARRY EMMETT MISTER NICE GUY REST IN PEACE.

Sincere condolences

Paul Rattigan

I had the pleasure of knowing Harry for many years, and enjoyed many chats and a few drinks with him. He was excellent company and had vast experience of our breed, both here and in Germany. I will miss Harry very much. My sincere condolences to Rose.

WE ARE SO SAD TO HEAR OF THIS NEWS THIS MORNING ABOUT HARRY. WHAT A GENTLEMAN HE WAS. HE SPOKE SO MANY WORDS OF WISDOM. I LOVED ANY CONVERSATIONS WITH HIM. HE ALWAYS SPOKE SO MUCH TRUTH AND SENSE, AND HAD A GOOD SENSE OF HUMOUR.  I CAN REMEMBER WHEN ALAN JUDGE ALONG SIDE HIM, AND AFTER THE SHOW HE SHOOK ALANS HAND AND SAID “IT HAS BEEN NICE TO JUDGE WITH YOU, BUT I HAVE NOT UNDERSTOOD A WORD YOU HAVE SAID ALL DAY”. WE LAUGHED ALL THE WAY HOME. OUR LOVE GOES TO ROSE
