SPARKY

by SPARKY on 27 October 2008 - 13:10

Hi All

We would just like to say a big thank you to everyone for their thoughts and good wishes following our losing Asparky.  She was the 'first lady' of Kennel vom Amulree and was greatly loved by each of us, and of course was her mums 'Golden Girl.' She was not an old female, nor was she ill prior to the birth of her babies - as such it was a HUGE, unexpected blow for us.

We have been overwhelmed by the response of our friends by e.mail, telephone and the messages left on the database here.

Her four remaining girls are doing well so far - eating great, happy and contented.  We know we are lucky that two of us can share their care, taking alternate feeds so that we each sleep in longer blocks!

We wish Mo and everyone involved in the care of these fostered babies mentioned above all the very best of luck.  We are thinking of them each time our little 'sparklers' are being fed.

Thanks Again

Fiona, Jo and the vom Amulree / vom Cinderhof dogs xx

Again I haven't been on PDB for a few days and come back to this devasting news of one ill mother and one who has sadly been lost.  I am so gutted for Fiona and Jo with the loss of Sparky and know the hard work they will have hand rearing the babies.  We had to do it with 11 puppies 3 years ago and basically had to take holidays of work and work in shifts but it worked.

It's fabulous to see all others pulling together to help the little babies  from the UK and it's just a real shame Fiona is not a bit closer to us all, as I have no doubt several folks, myself included, would have assisted with foster mums for the babies.  Our Linzi has just had her babies yesterday but she has 10!!! So not really able to foster any, sorry.  This just makes me even more worried about her as things can and do go wrong when you breed.

Please keep us all posted on all the babies and thier progress.  Prayers for them all.

Sally has now come home, still very weak, but picking up, she has eaten more, introduced her too 4 of her puppies cleaning them, being the mother she deservingly wanted to be, still going to supplement as i feel it could be too much for her, they are all cuddled into one another so sweet to see, never thought we would ever get to see this special moment,

Thanks fiona, i wish you all the best with your babies.
