Just waiting for some-one to arrive that has 13 orphaned GSD puppies. Foster mums urgently required - owner willing to travel. Mum of puppies dangerously ill at vets followng c/section. No infection involved - complications under anaesthetic.
I can help out with some, but it will be necessary to find foster mums if the others are to survive. They are 4 hrs old. Please call SARAH on 07849194514 -
Thanks in advance Mo - Mascani.

This is so sad,i hope you get a foster mum, i had a litter 30 years ago which we had to hand rear. With the help of local breeders our puppies were reared for the first 2 days by a mongrel, then an English collie,a Dobermann, and eventually a Samoyed reared 5 puppies, and we hand fed 6. It is no easy task, but all puppies were fine. We also enlisted our local radio station for help, also local vets who knew of females with litters. I wish you the best of luck and hope you get the puppies thier foster mum, i only wish i was closer. liz

Call local vets and breeders and see if any know of or have a "wet nurse" bitch. Good luck.

just managed to get my 2 girls to take 3 puppies each.... 7 left to hand rear, and hopefully have a Pomeranian going to help, but it wont manage 7 - still need help, but Sarah thanks you all for your advice and thoughts.... will keep you all posted, and she still would like a call if you hear of a bitch. Colostrum and mothers rearing always the best if poss. Going to get around the rescues tomorrow.... How about this though - as if not enough to think about, her vet is charging her £400 per shot for blood transfusion dog to dog !!! Must be going to be a very rich doner eh? Robbery. Mo - Mascani.
