Hi Folks, This is my male GSD almost 5 mts old in photo. Bought him as a show dog but am not sure as to whether or not he is up to show standard some constructive advise apprecited ( we will run him on as a pet if not for the ring as people in the house have become very attached!)

Looks like a nice pup. Show him somewhere at a local or regional event and see what the judge thinks of him.

He looks like a cute little puppy. Puppy coats are often not as full as adult coats and if you live where the summer was hot, be patient on his coat. His ears are up, so that's good. Show him at some local shows and see what the judges think. I assume you are trying AKC. You might also think about UKC; it's an easier place to show a family pet. You can find local shows by going to www.AKC.org or www.ukcdogs.com and searching for shows. If you are new to showing, do a google search on conformation ring training for your area. Most metro areas have several places where you can attend conformation classes taught by trainers. These trainers often hold a couple of fun matches per year and the trainers are usually either judges or professional handlers themselves. They can give you a good idea of your puppy's potential. Most of all, enjoy your dog!
