It just strikes me everytime I read about Guns Ownership and the HUGE difference we have between canada and USA.  Of course our Western canadians cowboys are much more Americanize than all other part of Canada.

I don't have a gun...don't intend to have one. I don't hunt and really don't see the point about protecting myself.  Is United State supposibly the best country in the world so violent you have to have at least a gun and a guard dog to feel safe??

I feel really safe here in Montreal.  You can walk safely in the street at 2h00am without being afraid...Of course violence occur but we are down by 4% this year with teenage crime (gang related).  Only 3 homicides cause by those minors..I think it's pretty good.  But we have strict gun control thought.  Not sure American would agree with that LOL!

Really funny how we can live so close...and be so different...

July9000, My family was on vacation in Canada when I was a kid(16) and we were attacked by a group or gang of punks, they knocked my Mom to the ground trying to steel her purse (she was OK) and my Dad beat the hell out of a couple of them before the police showed up. You just never know..............................

I didn't say nothing happens..where there is humans..there is violence..

But I don't want to live in fears..I want true freedom..and that's allowing myself to live in the present..not in fear of maybe something happening..

And right now..i'm pretty peaceful with my dogs beside and a glass of Jack Daniel!!

Why is there so much crime in the large American urban centers???  The answer is because of all the drugs brought into these areas (authorities are paid 10% for protection--it has always been this way).  Want to understand who is doing this, then research "controlled deliveries" which are supposedly instituted to get the "higher-up kingpins" (yah, right) and read the book, "Underground Empire" and you will start to understand.  Purpose is to raise money for black ops and to generate chaos and break society down, disempower the minorities, and help  stimulate the need and desire by the public at large for a large internal military and m,ilitarized police foce to fight this "synthetic war on drugs".  There is a massive innner city gang and crime problem and it has been engineered to be that way.  Americans need guns and GSDs to protect themselves from this.

Owning a gun is everyones God given right.  With that right comes the responsibility to use it properly and respect it's power.  There have been bad people since the beginning of time and there will be until the end of time.  They go everywhere, live everywhere and think nothing of harming you or your family or stealing what you have worked hard for.  Most serial killers are thought to be great people by their neighbors and co-workers!  Do I need to say more?????  My 9mm Sig is a fine gun, kept in good condition and ready to use at all times.  I agree with the quoute, "I'd rather have a gun and not need it than to need a gun and not have it".

It's not the dogs you have to fear but this old lady if you piss her off by trying to take something of hers or hurt her or one of her loved ones and that includes the 4 legged ones too. :o)

My husband works out of town all week, while I live in a rather peacefull neighborhood, where there is low crime, ya never know, I used to be afraid of them, but he has taken me out and has taught me how to shoot them.

So should the occasion ever arise, I can and will protect myself!
