Two Moons

Why do we own gun's?

Because we can !   Simple enough.

Its power you can hold in your hand's.     It's a thrill to hurl a projectile at the speed of sound to a point of impact of your choosing, at your free will, everytime you squeeze one off.

It's the illusion of safety and control, which you really don't have, but you think you do anyway.  All fuzzy and warm.

It's the rush of the detonation, and the thrill of a kill.  Or the pure joy of putting hole's in thing's.   The bounty of the hunt and the pride of a hunter.

It's the status man,  mine's bigger than your's and it cost more.   It's putting three hole's in something so close together that you only see one, take's skill and a little bit of knowledge to do.

It's much more civilized than hacking away with an edged weapon, evolution.    It's a way of maintaining a certain balance from a distance.

It's the law, at least where I live.   We owe it to our forefather's to uphold what they died for.  Not to go quietly into the night.

We own gun's because it make's us feel noble, a higher being who know's he can take life yet choose's not too.

Beside's all this, it scare's the hell out of the bad people who are basicly coward's and fear for their criminal live's.

I love the smell of spent powder,

Moon's.

Gun owners are often asked: "Why do you own guns?" as though doing so were some kind of oddity or aberration. In fact, responsible gun ownership has been a part of this country from its inception, and the fact that every law-abiding citizen can own guns is an integral part of our heritage. Some countries may grudgingly allow certain people to own guns (under very restrictive conditions, of course); in America, it is our indisputable right to do so. It's the reason we never need fear tyranny.

It's odd that the people who worry about America becoming a dictatorship are the same ones clamoring to remove our best way to prevent it.

Our shadow gov't wants its jack-booted goons with their black nazi SS type uniforms fully armed to the teeth.  But they want all the citizens completely disarmed.  Why is this so.  They say it is to protect us from "gun crimes".  Well who is going to protect us against their abuse of weapons and tyranny against the people if the people lose their weapons.

As many of us know, the feds and black water mercenaries went door to door, handcuffing the home woners ("for their own safety--yah, right) and confiscating all their guns.  In one instance they took a 70 year old woman, put a machine gun to her head and told her they would blow her F'in head off if she moved.  The also went through the wealthiest areas and took expensive deer rifles, stealing them for themselves, and never compensating the homeowners.  Much of this is available on you tube and google video, so please, don't try and say it didn't happen because it did.  Also as some heard there was a shootout on the bridge between mercenaries and local police trying to take people accross the bridge.  Several citizens were killed, but nothing was done because the mercenaries have complete immunity from all laws.  What is the lesson from Katrina?  The gov't has sophisticated think tanks with many "psyops experts" working full time coming up with schemes to take our guns and break apart communities.  Their favorite trick is now to use natural disasters to abuse the citizens with their jack booted thugs and confiscate their guns.  They are not there to help us but to enact the new world order's plans.  You can expert more such weather-weapon based natural disasters (as described by sec of defense william cohen when he was sec. of def) to be used as a pretext to invoke martial law.  Best to know about "garden plot" and "rex 84" because this is what your local fusion center has planned for you in the not too far future.

Watch a short video clip by famed talk radio host Alex Jones on the tyranny of our own gov't against our citizens on 9-11. This is one of the prime examples of the tyranny that comes from an evil gov't out of control. :

This is what my boyfrined Phil wanted me to post for him, since he is at work right now.....

"1935 will go down in History! For the first time, a civilized nation has full gun registration! Our streets will be safer, our police more efficient and the world will follow our lead to the future!" - Adolf Hitler

This is how Hitler disarmed the jews and that eventually led to the holocost....

I am going to add that we have several guns at our house and also 4 German Shepherds and would NOT have it any other way. I like to do target shooting and my boyfriend is a Police Officer in Northern California.

Why do I own guns? I enjoy the camaderie of a match meet or just an informal Saturday morning shooting exercise. Why do I own guns? Because the taxpayer-funded "protection services" i.e. police and military personnel cannot be my guardian angels 100% of the time. Why do I own guns? To assure myself that I can at least attempt to maintain a sort of balance with those who are paid to "protect" me. Will the subject of my last statement ever be tested? I certainly hope not. Could it be tested? It certainly could-at a moment's notice just as it has happened to other people..

I have observed for years how police departments, even small town "Barney Fife" units are being armed with more firepower and related equipment through government grants. They sure as hell are not having chili suppers to raise money to purchase these new weapons. For what reason-to supplement the efficiency of their legendary speed traps? I think not. An example-the police department in the small town near me now has 50-calibre armanent. Why? I can't say, but it now behooves me to spend the money and make the big step to 50-calibre. Why? I must maintain some balance, as I will can never have an advantage. Don't attempt to feed me the "gang violence" and "drug war" BS. I am talking about small town operations here, not the gritty interior of an inner city environment.

What I truley suspect-and the idea so oft repeated in this thread is the coming ability by our government to declare and enforce martial law much more swiftly and thoroughly than could be done solely with our full-time military personnel, reserve units, and National Guard units. And, why would our "oh so benevolent" government ever feel a need to "protect" its citizens like that? National security? That's not the reason. Gather together and prepare, for a storm is coming.

Best Regards,

Bob-O

Jyl, awesome post.  Sounds like your boyfriend is a Constitution believing, Bill of Rights following Law Enforcement Officer.  And that is exactly what we need.  These kind of police always get the full respect of the community.

Preston..

Phil said that most of the officers up where he works are conservative and do not agree with most of the gun laws either.

Here is a short video clip where Rep Ron Paul expresses his views on the bailout and the corruption and deals behind it.  When the folks at the top who claim to be of two fifferent political parties but act like they are one, and act like they are all criminals, then tyranny is only a few small steps away from us.
