I was looking at my old shepherds pedigree-he lived till almost 14. There are a lot of names on there that I havn't heard of in a long time. Although I don't frequent the shows anymore, I do try to keep up with things. So if anyone can tell me, just out of curiosity if any of these kennels are still on the go.
Jonal, Jonimay, Drumbiels, Fullwoods, Rosehurst, Bedwins, Vornlante, Bushvale?? and Edensmuir.
I know Jonal are In my neck of the woods, But don't know about the rest. This pedigree is from 1993.
Thanks

Our first bitch, in the late 80s, came from the Triffins kennel. From what I recall it was in Wales and the owner was a doctor... any more info from anyone?

Breslin was Sam Yates he bred quite a nice dog in the mid 1990s named Breslin Canto sired by Jonimay Shannan out of Drumbiels Iesha.
Sam no longer showing not sure what happened to him

Those two are the parents of my old dog. Maybe they were litter brothers or a repeat mating. Interesting to know that some of these kenneks are still on the go. When my old boy passed I phoned the Yates about another puppy, but the number I had was unobtainable. Shame, he was such a good dog.
I knew Jonal , and Drumbiels, were Scottish but not fullwoods and Edensmuir. I saw my very first "German " type at John Youngs training club. Must have been Late 70's early 80's, He was being ran round by Neil Dods LOL
Funny, we thought they really looked like "Bananas" then, but soon came to love them, mind you they certainly have improved since then!!!!!!!! My Father was an "Alsatian" man, but we soon won him round LOL
Thanks for the info.

My Mum & Dad's first Shepherd was born in 1950, he was from the Whiteville Kennels (I still have his pedigree in a box somewhere). Jimmy's pedigree was full of Brittas and Picardy dogs. Before I was born!!!
