Trying to find out if anyone....anyone personally...not heresay...has used this product and what the results were and if there was any adverse reaction.

After 8 years of being flea free I have spotted some.....The topicals and sprays do not seem to be working and I am not sure if it is an immunity issue or not.  I want to prevent  a real infestation and I was looking at trying this stuff.

This year I had the same problem as you do - for the first time, I've had a flea issue. I did use the Confortis and I have to say I was AMAZED with the results it produced. All 4 dogs stopped itching within an hour. I did wash all their bedding and the rugs, although I was told that even if a live one should wind up on them, it would die. I went back to being flea free within a day or two. The downside - it's expensive. I paid around $72 for a 6 month supply. Since I have 5 to treat (my 4 GSDs and my husband's truck dog), it adds up. But the tradeoff is being bug-free (keep in mind I also have 4 cats that also picked up the fleas - you REALLY DON'T want to have to de-flea cats- they got Capstar and Revolution....not a lot of fun...) I haven't seen any adverse reactions in anyone.

Hi

Live in "buggy" Tampa Bay Florida, used Advantage before, monthly, this year tried Comfortis in January on 3 GSD and one Pit Bull and have not have fleas since.  We also used to spend time picking fleas off the dogs on Advantage, now can spend time just brushing and loving.

6 yr female GSD actually ate 2 of the large size pills (male dropped his and she snatched it up before I could grab her),  I called hotline and they said she would be fine.

I got at local "Pet Luv" for $10 each pill,  vet charges $17.50 per large pill.

Thank you guys! I was nervous about trying something new...but the old Frontline Plus and Advantage....and BioSpot...were just not working.  All that in additon to treating inside and outside. Oh and of course I tried the NATURAL stuff....let's see....DE (which only worked if alot was directly on the flea), Nutritional yeast...nope...cinnamon....nada....garlic...nuh huh.....
I did discover something that was instant death for fleas....Tropicana Dark Tanning Oil...instant death I tell ya.  I actually did take out many this way...but those thick sheppy coats make it hard to get to the skin.  I rubbed legs and bellies and faces and ears with it and watched the little bastards DIE.

Maybe it will snow in GA this year...lol

I'd be interested in this Pet Luv place....  I ended up paying $267 for three boxes...that's for one treatment for each dog...If it works I will be happy though.  ONce it is under control I am undecided if I should go back to the topicals, nothing at all, or keep on this stuff.  If they developed a resistence to the topicals would they develop one to this stuff too over time?

One thing is for certain...it takes a whole weekend for me to wash all the children.

Ironically, Frontline swears there's nothing wrong with their stuff....

I LOVE Comfortis. Had never heard of it and an amazing vet recommended for a dog I got who'd been exposed to horrible conditions and was infested with fleas.  I'd not bathed him when I got him to the vet and only minimally treated with Frontline spray because he was in such bad shape when I got him.  Gave him a Comfortis, give him a bath an hour later and the only fleas left were dead.  HUGE fleas too.  I'm a big fan of it.  For cost reasons, I still have my female on Frontline spray (works well for her) but he loves to swim in my creek and gets weekly baths due to the flea infestation he'd suffered and sores it caused, so the Comfortis is perfect for him since he's a major water dog.  No side effects and we're in our second month with it.  I recommended it to several friends and they all love it.

Just my experience.

WOW!  This stuff worked great!  The little buggars are gone!  Holy S%$#!

No problems with any of the dogs, young, old and in between.  I will definately recommend this stuff for anyone having issues with the topicals.
