Cheers GSDfan, Just read you comments about its detailed behaviour: sorry, see if some security firm is interested (I now doubt it much!), as Charlie said I think, you've got a 'mental case' on you hands! Tell owners, unless they want to get into big-heap trouble later, to get another cuddly toy, and have done with it! Charlie, Yes, recall is recall, as I've said so often here! I've mentioned these electronic collars to my good lady, but she refused to have bar of it! I'm going to override her (always such masochistic fun!) Are they really as good as advertised? Have you used them?

Alpha, I forgot to address the wildthig comment,if you take the time to go over her posts, you will see I have told this wome time and time againe to just leave me alone, She does nothing but bother people on this board with her rambling like the one this evening.Your right,I am not that type person and I would never attack anyone with or without a disability, she is just a busy body who likes to stir up troublt.I come her to relax,to learn to talk about the German Shepherd and talk to good friends including yourself I have made all over the world because of this fantastic.Wildthing would be best to keep on the porch if she can't play with the big dog,as you see in this thread,I did not call her off the porch, she ran after me.

Cheers alphapup, Thanks for advice. I don't have any like problems with the others; its just this one, and you know what, she's the one that in other situations is the best behaved and most willing to please! (and my favourite!) Have you tried those electronic collars? Love to try them out!

Peter, yes I think they are a need tool in some cases,I think alpha will agree with me here, they can be used for sport dogs if the dog does not out clean, lots of dogs will out with the handler up close but when your down the other end of the field sometimes they like to test you and stay on the bite just a bit longer....You can offer the correction from several hundred feet away, the dog has no idea where the correction comes from and in most case the problem is fixed. Some people will not use them, think they are inhumane, I have put on on my hand at the highest level and pushed the button,I'd be lying to you if I said it felt good but it's not as bad as most people think

Charlie, Hate to do this to you, and take up more of your time! Have one little problem: I looked up yankee company you mentioned way back, and guess what? They all have little provisos saying they can't be sold into this country because of local laws! Any ideas?

Peter I can buy it for you and ship it? Whats the worst that could happen? They seize it? What site did you go to?

by patrishap on 28 November 2004 - 07:11

Charlie, Can't remember names, but from memory there were only a couple: Tectronics was one? Don't really care just as long it does the job for what I need. I remember very expensive doo-dads with millions of options - not interested! Something reasonably priced, robust and simple! Got to leave urgently, but be back in couple of hours. Appreciate your offer much.
