"How smooth must be the language of the whites, when they can make right look like wrong, and wrong like right." ~ Blackhawk
"This war did not spring up on our land, this war was brought upon us by the children of the Great Father who came to take our land without a price, and who, in our land, do a great many evil things... This war has come from robbery - from the stealing of our land." ~ Spotted Tail
"It's our Stuff. We made it and we know best how to use it and care for it. And now we're going to get it back" ~ Crow

Baby Eagle, that reminds me of the one where they asked the old chief if he would give them some words to go on a plaque that was to be left on the moon, in case aliens visited the moon, to let them know there was intelligent life on earth. (I'm not sure if this is true, or a joke.) The old man was glad to oblige, and wrote something down in the Cherokee alphabet. Of course, the guys from NASA had no idea what it said.
When his grandson saw what he'd written, he burst out laughing but refused to translate it for them.
The NASA fellows had to take the quote with them, and, after considerable searching, found someone with NASA who could translate Cherokee. He, too, burst out laughing when he saw what it said:
"Beware of these people. They come to steal your land!"

Some of these quotes are pretty interesting...the native american ones really made me think, and realize we were more than "Newland explorers" but also "Oldland destroyers"
God bless our land stealing ancestors.

Kreiger,
You just reminded me of another quote I love, alas, also from a movie:
"You've got a mean steak in you, and God don't like ugly!"
-Martin Lawrence as "Big Momma" in "Big Momma's House 2"
